Posted by: Brother Ron at March 27, 2010 02:53 PMJoe,
I wanted to take a second to let you know how you touched my life. You saw me and my daughter Macie at the continental breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express in Fayetteville, Ga. We were staying there and are still staying there due to our home catching fire on New Year’s Eve. We lost everything.. well we lost our home and all of our personal belongings. I am married and we have a 3 month old son named Jackson and my daughter who you met Macie who is 5. I have been in Law Enforcement for 10 years and have a way of minimizing things to not be bothered by the events I see in life due to my job. I see people at their worst, death and tragedy. People rarely call the police to tell them that they have had a great day and that life is grand. My husband and I realize that we can get another home and more stuff and are thankful that we are all healthy and made it out of the fire. Within 3 minutes our home was fully engulfed with flames. Macie on the other hand is a very sentimental little girl. The first thing she cried over was her Birthday pictures and her book bag. She lost all her Santa gifts, school things, everything. She was having a very hard time the first few days after the fire as was she the morning we met you. As I was feeding my son before taking her to get breakfast and talking to God and just asked him to let me see a smile on Macie’s face that day. Literally minutes later that prayer was answered in the lobby of that Holiday Inn Express. You drew Macie’s picture and she smiled and if that was not enough you asked her to smile again so you could make sure you drew her smile right. I cried because I had not seen a smile on my daughter’s face since the fire. We will keep the newspaper you drew her on forever not because on the front page was the article that is headed “ Family looses home in New Year’s Eve Fire” but because God it reminds me how God answers our prayers both big and small.
Thanks so much for blessing our lives that day.

Let's have lunch sometimes soon.
This does not at all look like a scheduled of a person who has retired. you just aren't going into an office every day. Keep making disciples.
Posted by: Woody Sears at February 14, 2011 03:56 PMDear Dr. McKeever,
May God in His infinite wisdom and understanding, bless you, your family and ministry with His untold generosity. May the wisdom that was granted to you by Him be imparted to all the readers of your blessed forum. I stumbled across your website with the idea of "Moderation" in mind. As of yet, I haven't read your numerous articles related to this subject. I have every intention to fully immerse myself in your teachings. If you have any additional information for me and my quest for "Divine Moderation" I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. In the meanwhile, I ask Jesus to bless your ministry with His peace. Brother Paul Crass, Cumberland, Maryland
Sir, I enjoyed your thoughts on eating too much. We should also be careful to consume the better choices of food and drink. I have heard hundreds of sermons, and I can't remember even one time hearing one on over eating or poor eating. Since it involves the body, I think we shy toward the more spiritual areas; plus we are shy about dealing will being over-weight and having health problems. A few years ago, I found a great book on the subject: Maximum Energy, by Christian Doctor, Ted Broer. Since reading it, I have ordered 12 copies for friends, and urged many more to order it. Any person whether over-weight or not, would profit from the book if they would follow its advice. Would you please consider checking it out and passing the info along to others? I get no profit from its sale, except the joy of helping others. Our bodies are the temple of God, so I believe we should take care of them, and in doing so, we could live longer, more active lives. We all know people who lived 80 years or so, but the last 10 or 15 of those years, they were inactive because of poor health, many times caused or made worse by poor diet. Think what a difference it could make to the cause of Christ, if those people just changed half of their inactive years into active service. If you do a Google search on the book title: Maximum Energy, you will find it used at Amazon for as little as 1 cent plus $3.99 shipping. All the copies I have ordered were like-new. Ted Broer also had a website with much good reading on it. Thanks again.
